Licensed Independent Agent · NPN #22052447 · 23 States

One chart for the 23 states covered here. The benchmark Silver column is the price everything else hangs on: it is the plan the premium tax credit is measured against, and the price you pay in full once your income is over the subsidy line. For a 40-year-old in 2026 it runs from $414 a month in Maryland to $774 in Arkansas.

Fifteen insurers sell in Florida and Texas; South Dakota has three. Seven of the 17 HealthCare.gov states have no PPO plan anywhere on the marketplace: Indiana, Kansas, Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas and Utah. And 2027 prices are going up in every state, from 6.0% in Arkansas to 22.1% in South Carolina.

How to read it

If your income is over the subsidy line

Above 400% of the poverty line ($63,840 for one person in 2027) there is no tax credit, so the benchmark price in this chart is what you pay. What that full price takes out of your income, state by state →

What does 2027 do to your premium?

A state average can’t tell you that. Enter your ZIP and a licensed agent will send you the real 2027 prices for your county as soon as they’re posted, and what you’d pay after any credit you qualify for. It costs nothing, and you deal with a licensed agent, not a call center.

“I run my own business and my time is valuable. Daniel handled everything — compared the private options, explained what I was actually getting, and had me covered fast. Way better experience than trying to navigate it myself.”
